MS. JAMALIAH ABDUL HAMID is at the final stage of her doctoral programme in the University of Cambridge.

She was initially trained in Applied Linguistics (M.A. from Indiana University, USA). She taught in schools, and later moved on to spend some years as a Curriculum Officer in the Ministry of Education, Malaysia where her main responsibility was to develop the national curriculum, drafts of policies for the curriculum, support materials and programmes for the implementation of the curriculum, and to train teachers.

In more recent years, she was a lecturer at the Institute of Educational Management, and apart from lecturing and training, the job description includes research, publications and consultancy.

Her main field of interests include Power and Politics in Management; and Intellectualism, Activism and Spirituality in History.
