Banada Abbey

SCHOOL HISTORY:

Banada Abbey was a convent and an orphanage run by the Irish Sisters of Charity. In 1958 a co-educational secondary school was established. In 1987 the Nuns vacated the school and its ownership was transferred to the Diocese of Achonry. It is now run by a board of Management.
