This story was told to me by May Larkin[my grandma]on the 10-6-97.
My brother,my sister and myself were very young. My father had grazing lands near Templemore on which he had cattle during the summer. My brother,my sister and myself had to get up very early on a lovely summer morning. My father drove us there in the car along with our youngest brother.
When we got there we had to round up the cattle and get them out on the road to get them to Roscrea railway station. After a few miles my father and my youngest brother drove on to Roscrea. They came back with biscuits and lemonade for us to drink. They went back to Roscrea and waited for us there. When we got to Roscrea we turned them on to main street to be weighed. Then we drove them to the railway station and loaded them into wagons for the Dublin market. We were very tired when we got home and my mother had tea ready for us.
