About Our School

Founded in 1979, Blakestown Community School is a 850 pupil, interdenominational, co-educational school providing second level education to pupils whose ages range from 12 to 18 years. The school is located in Blanchardstown, a satellite town situated in the western suburbs of Ireland's capital, Dublin.

The school aims to educate within a Christian and co-educational environment and to cater for the personal, moral, social and career needs of each individual student. The school motto is Education for Living.

Blakestown Community School provides a range of educational programmes at Junior and Senior levels. The principal of the school is Victor Black and the two vice principals are Anne Moroney and Brendan Cantwell.
