Radio, Paper Reviews:

Waterford Local Radio and Roddy Cleere paid glowing tributes to the Web Pages of Carrigeen School and advised that any teacher about to set up their own site should take a look at the wealth of material available at Carrigeen School.

It was amazing that a small rural school should be foremost in information technology. Every child had unbelievable opportunities to prepare themselves for the web.
Roddy was particularly interested in pupil profiles and suggested that images should accompany articles by children.
Since the Radio interview the perception of images has changed by pareents and hence no photographs are visible, except by parental concent.

The Kilkenny People paid tribute to the children who had compiled some wonderful material on local history and other interesting projects. The River Suir is well documented with fishing for salmon and thatched houses which feature so much in Carrigeen and Licketstown and Portnahully.
