Belview Port 

The new Belview Container Terminal started in September 1993 at a cost of 25 million pounds . Belview is a state-of –the-art container terminal which has lead to reductions in the sailing times between Waterford and the U.K. and Continental ports.

Facts about the terminal

• The terminal is 450 metres long.
• The facility can handle three ships at the same time.
• The Port is open twenty four hours a day, seven days a week,365 days a year.
• Bell Lines are the terminal operators.

Port Overview

Waterford has many different parts to its port .
It handles Bulk solid and Break Bulk traffic .
Waterford is Irelands closest deep water , multi-purpose port to mainland Europe .With the improving road access to the port , Waterford is a very attractive location for Irelands importers and exporters .
Bulk traffic is handled in the inner port which is the traditional Port of Waterford where nine hundred and sixteen metres of quay are avaiable.
