Renting a car in Ireland

All main airports, cities and many towns have car rental agencies.    Select a link below for further information on specific companies.    An online reservations service is available on several sites.  If you don't have a renter ID card (eg Hertz #1 Club, Avis Wizard, etc.) it is a good idea to apply for this first, in good time before your planned trip.   By quoting your ID number when making a reservation, the documentation can be pre-printed prior to your arrival and you can minimise delays for yourself and others in the process.   Some other rental companies allow you to enter your drivers license and other details when making an online booking.
