The Celts

Celtic Designs

The Celts were a tribe who lived all over Western Europe from about 3000 years ago. They were very clever and they found out how t ouse a new metal far better than bronze. This new metal was Iron. The Celts probably came to Ireland about 2300 years ago. They did not live in towns like us. They lived in Ring Forts. if stone was used it was called a Dun or Cathair. If earth was used it was called a Rath or Lios. Above you will see some of the Celtic Designs which we designed and painted.
