Football
We also enter our boys and girls into the football competitions. Each year we enter a team into a blitz in Gort. This blitz is run in aid of the Gort Lions Club and is organized by the Garda. We have been victorious for the past two years, but unfortunately the competition hasn't taken place this year.
Last year our Girls team won the County Title for the first time ever. It was a fabulous achievement and we were really delighted. We had been in the final before but had never been victorious.
On Friday the October 21st, 2011 Killeeneen boys took part in a 7 a side gaelic football tournament in Gort. We entered two teams into the competition.
The A team beat Tirenneevin and Peterswell in the group stages, then Kilnedeama in the semi-final. Then they beat Craughwell A in the Final to win the cup 5 years running.
The B team beat Educate Together, Kilcolgan and narrowly lost to Craughwell A in the group stages. They beat Labane after extra time in the semi-final. They lost in the final to Craughwell.
