
The four Dublin Local Authorities have appointed a team of Irish and Danish consultants to carry out a Waste Management Strategy Study for the Dublin Region.
Dublin Corporation, Fingal County Council, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and South Dublin County Council have commissioned the MCCK group to carry out the study which will form the basis for Waste Management Planning in the Region over the next twenty years.
We invite you the Public, Environmental Groups, the Waste Industry or any interested parties to participate by sending your ideas on:-
Waste Prevention Waste Minimisation Waste Reuse/Recycling/Recovery Waste Disposal
The purpose of the study is to identify an integrated waste management strategy which will provide the best practical environmental solution for solid waste arising in the Dublin Region in the medium and long-term. The study will deal with the management of non-hazardous wastes and will take account of existing and proposed Irish and E.U. legislation. It will also draw a sensible balance between costs and environmental considerations.
Following a competition at E.U. and National level, the Dublin Authorities have appointed the MCCK Consultancy Group to carry out the study which will be completed towards the end of 1997.
The MCCK consulting group consists of two Irish and two Danish organisations as follows :
