Environmental Control Division

The Environmental Control Division's professional staff are concerned with monitoring the public health aspects of the environment. The division is headed by a Senior Environmental Health Officer, reporting to the Principal E.H.O. The Environmental Control E.H.O.s act in an agency capacity for the Local Sanitary Authority in the following:

• Water Quality Monitoring - including bathing water
• Housing Assessment for Local Authority rehousing
• Public Health Assessment of planning and development proposals
• Assessment and Control of Public Health Nuisances
