MAKING MAGIC AWARD |

Dear Hans and Thomas, Thank you for sharing your wonderful site with me.
I was lost for hours reading about your adventures and travels through
this lifetime. I enjoyed reading about the various Lamas and will enjoy
learning more as my reading continues. It is so very interesting how souls
connect through time and space. I have found the internet to be an amazing
instrument in connecting people in often mysterious ways. I also believe
that nothing happens by accident, as everything is interconnected through
interwoven meetings, experiences, and lesson, upon lesson. I do not know
very much about Buddhism from a formal education regarding it's history
or who the important Llamas have been. And yet, there is a karmic connection
to Buddhism for me, as I have been fortunate enough to have been exposed
to it on many levels and it is a part of my life experience. In 1989 and
1990, I had the opportunity to travel to Thailand and India. (It is important
to note that I am terrified to fly but I was so very excited about going
to these countries that I did not experience the usual anxiety regarding
being on an airplane.) It was as if I were going 'home' and I could not
wait to get there and see the beautiful places my journey took me. I remember
the calm and peace of being in the temples. I remember sensing that I was
in very special, holy, places and instinctively knew that by just being
there, I was blessed in so many ways. Now, please know that I am not educated
in the Buddhist faith, so my observations and expectations were not pre-programmed,
but instead, were deeply intuitive and personal reactions. While in India,
I purchased a beautiful, delicate, bronze Buddha. And from India, I brought
home a spectacular wooden wall carving of a Hindu Goddess. Both of which
are in my bedroom. The Buddha is sitting on top of my large bookcase, looking
down upon me... As somewhere, I had learned that the Buddha should always
be higher than myself. The one thing I think I do understand about Buddhism
is that one is always striving to be in harmony with all things and to
be 'God like' from within. Which of course is very different from western
Christianity that promotes the imagery of God being a force or power that
is 'outside' of us. I do not know from where my instincts and spiritual
connection to Buddhism stems, as I was raised a Christian in this life.
I was introduced to the Japanese NSA Buddhism and chanting in the early
80's and spent a short time attending chanting sessions, but I don't remember
many of the "lessons" that were taught. I know that I have been drawn to
it from time to time and perhaps there is a much deeper spiritual meaning
for me. Perhaps, in a past life I did live in India as well. It certainly
seemed as if I had because India was so very familiar and special for me.
The other thing I would like to share about myself is that in 1990, while
in India, I bought a book in Bombay, written by Holger Kersten, called
'Jesus lived in India'. This book changed my thinking forever, as it presents
the concept of Jesus being the reincarnate of Buddha, and transformed my
concept of Jesus from the traditional Christian bible stories into a 'real'
person and made the story of His resurrection more plausible and believable.
And now, I feel as if I have a much broader understand that there is only
ONE God who has made himself known to us on many levels. Whatever people
want to 'call' Him, and no matter whatever culture or language the lessons
are taught, ...the true 'bottom line' meaning for me is: God is Love.
And, I believe very deeply that once we all realize the power within us
to love ourselves and one another the way we should, ..the world would
indeed, be a much better place. And, in closing, I can only conclude that
since your site was 'sent' to me, it is again, a message and an opportunity
for me to learn more. I suppose, in a way, karma is showing me a path that
I have not paid attention to. And for that, I thank you. I would be honored
to present you with my "Magic" Award, for your site does indeed share a
tangible sense of the 'magical', 'mystical' and special world we live in.
I wish you much success with the site and I hope it continues to allow
you to continue your destiny to teach people about the 'magic' that lies
